Buck's 420HC steel - narkive420HC is actually not bad considering the low carbon content, but falls behind almost any other steel. I notice they also harden it to RC58. But unless you have some desire to preserve the endangered Carbon Cave Spider, 420HC is not a good choice because you can get a much better knife for 5$ or $10 more.
